House 12

We are starting backwards –

This is the hidden part of your life, secrets, even to yourself. Beyond the private, can we say subconsciously it controls our life. It is the house of Pisces on the natural chart, its a Cadent house and Mutable Water and Yin. Neptunian and Jupiter ruled. This house has so much depth. The house that can tear you apart to bring you back up after you heal. This is no easy house, joyful house, like the 5th. This house’s gifts are so deep. “Divinity, Dreams and Eternal Oneness”. These parts of ourselves are no small thing. I believe that is why they can undo us in the search for them. Like your body can’t grasp all of this in one lifetime. It is one of the reasons I believe in multiple life times. The lessons, the life, are so deep that not one life can embody all that we can become. I’m not talking professionally, and neither is this house. This house really can be your undoing. Mental hospitals and incarceration, completion and endings. The portal to leaving the earth. Even if you do not have planets here you will have transits that will bring 12th house experiences into your life. They are no small thing, that is why they can be your undoing. Can you come out stronger, yes. What does not kill you…. It’s a collection of your experiences, the nightmares to the fairylands. That mutable water that flows and becomes whatever shape the bottle is. That is why you can’t get a hold of it, ethereal, intuition. This is the breathing meditation results, you try to put it into words but the feeling is illusive but you know its worth it. The feeling that you chase, like a dream you can’t remember as you wake up and it floats away just as it was so real minutes ago. Remember, transits are a big part of your life, when transits go through this house big things can happen along with the energy of the archetypal energies that are represented in this house. Not all battles need a sword, they can be won in acceptance and faith. The 12 house is private in solitude, spiritual healing, large animals, the retreat and reflection, and the unconscious mind. Also, listening to your intuition even in fear. Fears are also in this house. Think of what it represents – they are also the things that many fear – being alone, imprisonment, the basement, even compassion; people fear this vulnerability and see it as weak though it is healing.
This house even encompasses fame. The depth of isolation of the fame that people can face. Like they have to isolate themselves from society to have the peace away from the fame. The contradiction is so human. The need for acceptance to only be torn apart, the undoing. Then to have to isolate and build the mansion to push everyone out in the desperate need to know oneself in solitude. It almost becomes their own prison, and be seen as crazy when they just want to be who they are. 12th house issues. It could be the artist that goes mad in their fame, their isolation creating their own prison, metaphorical or real. The depth of this house is maddening. Love it! The Glamour of the Neptunian energy is so infectious for the outside world not to look and the person to believe it is real when it’s just a glamour.
Opposed this to the 6th house where everyday activities fall. Shopping for your groceries. So, shocking for everyone to see that house 12th house person to do an everyday activity. The opposition, the glamour of fancy life opposed to the basic thing that everyone does.
The water creates the depth of this house. The mystery, the finding and solving of the mystery. It’s the undoing and the healing. If you have planets here it is only more intensified with the energy of the planet that is lighting up this house. Also, what sign brings the flavor to this area of life. This is advanced placement learning. No boundaries, so putting them up is very important to be able to come back to this world and not just escape. So, pay attention to your planets and transitions in this house because it can be life changing when you lean into and take the hide road it can be magical. Not all circumstances are in your control, the only thing you have is how you look at it and move forward. That is also the magic.

Healing – water activities. Shower, swimming in the lake or ocean. Hot Tub. If Mars is here, spiritual warrior, watersports. Kayaking, rafting, and boating ect…. Just being on the water is healing.

In astrocartography/relocations astrology – this is not a house that we try to put a planet in unless people are specifically looking for 12th house themes. Jupiter and Neptune are more at home here. Perhaps you are looking for that secluded place to have a retreat, to create, to get in touch with yourself then this is your house. To have that moment of self-discovery, meeting your guides, angels and more. There can be a depressing aspect to this but in that seclusion it can be magical for people. To shut down the noise of the world can be amazing, just don’t forget to come back and share what you have created even if its just having a bigger heart. Don’t forget to go to your Jupiter or Neptune line and check it out.

I live near my Jupiter line and it is loud. The Neptune line was magical. I felt like I was walking on a cloud. Even my friend pointed it out to me. I just floated through the days. When I left the line it was definitely noticeable. Also, we drove into my mars line. Totally different feel after that ethereal feeling that I was experiencing.

Warning – be careful about drug abuse or even someone slipping you something without you knowing. Protect your drink. Really be careful with placements here, and transits. Especially with Mars/Pluto in the 12th house. Even Jupiter because of the magnifications and exaggeration. The twelfth house can be magical. Yet, it is something you can not just talk your way out of, it is the house you have to embrace and go through.


11th House –

The eleventh house. In my life I have always had trouble dissecting this house. Maybe it is my placement, but that is ok. I am getting better at it everyday. I really like Meredith Froemke’s understanding of this house, “who am I becoming through the people and communities I choose to build with?” That sentence took it to a higher level then, it is your community. It is a bit more than that, it’s how you grow and how you grow the groups, communities you belong to. What you bring to the group is just as important as how it affects your growth. The house is naturally an air house, fixed and succedent with a Yang polarity. As it is naturally the Aquarius house it is forward thinking, visions oriented to move the community forward as a whole. We are all individuals but we all have this piece that needs to be a part of community, yes on a sliding scale, depending on the sign and planets, and aspects to this house; this house brings in that aspect of humanity as whole into our lives. How will we impact the world around us? Social movements, collective wisdom we gain along with the vision the group has. It takes the 10th house legacy and brings it into a group, so you are not going at it alone. I keep having this vision of the singular tree, but then you see a forest and the incredible awe a beauty brings as they stand together. Then to learn they speak to each other, warn each other, they are a community that holds so much history and depth for each other though most people don’t see how linked they truly are because they look separate. The eleventh house holds that power, making one become more by being part of rather than separate.
I have this other thought as well. Like, in a hallmark movie. The new person comes to town and they are separate. The character has their own ideas of how life should be and then the community that is already formed there melds around them. Each changes and grows to accommodate each other, hopefully for the better, to be able to get through the “storm”. As you go through the story the characters’ growth, from the individual goals into the group makes it nearly impossible for them to ever forget each other, or leave. Usually there is some fumbling around as these things get sorted out but that is life and it’s probably why we relate to these stories. We just don’t always get the happy ending in an hour and a half, but that is ok, we keep going. In a way we figure out as we go that it’s not going at it alone that makes the journey when we realize the community we build around us, invites us in, or however it happens to build around us is the thing that makes our goals even more rich, not just with money.

Depending on what sign and the ruler of the house along with planets in this house it shows how this energy is going to show up in your life. Just like with every house on the natal chart it shows up in different ways. Also, depending on what astracartography line you are closer to, different energies will be more potent or lessoned. Even more, as you move and planets move around the houses the energies get activated differently and you can then highlight different areas of your life over others so you can consciously decide to enhance different areas of your life. Astrocartography has probably been affecting your life in ways you don’t even know. After knowing I have studied my own chart to see how the lines have changed and affect my vacations, education, travels around the world. It does not stop me from going to places but it definitely does give me a heads up to how things are going to be when I get there.

This included the eleventh house. When I traveled to Seattle, Washington on a recent trip my stellium moved to the 11th house. That is a big shift, along with being on my Uranus line. I am glad I arrived a couple days before the conference to get used to that big shift in energy, meeting people a little bit before class, which is also the eleventh house. The community I met means a lot to me as I learn astrology. I love how one of my teachers of astrology is my 11th house stellium and the other lives in a place that puts my stellium in the 6th house. They also bring different aspects to my learning. I appreciate both of their knowledge and the groups of people they bring into my life, both bringing in different aspects of my life perceptively. Astrology shocks and amazes me everyday. It’s like each teacher talks to a different part of me, a different part of my chart. Community and daily activities. I will get to the 6th house shortly. I will say for now it rules your daily activities which is very important when running a business, diving into a subject on a deep level. Daily activities need to be followed in order to accomplish the goals of the self and of the community. It all flows together.
